What's In A Name
The Founding Director, Shanell Daniels, is often asked the question: Who is Michael and why Michael's Angels Girls Club? Mrs. Daniels responds by saying: The name is in memory to our son Michael Donovan Daniels who we lost to a still birth in 2011. Since the loss in 2011 we had two miscarriages, so we came to understand it was not in God's plan for us to have another child because he had bigger plans for us. I know if those children had been born Michael's Angels Girls Club would not exist today.
About Michael’s Angels Girls Club
Michael’s Angels Girls Club is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2016 under the leadership of Mrs. Shanell Knight Daniels. It was formed out of Mrs. Daniels’ desire to expose young girls of Edgecombe County to a world of arts, community service and educational opportunities. As an assistant director of a 5 Star Certified Child Care Center for many years, Daniels has had the opportunity to work with young children as they progress through the preschool and developmental school years. Daniels felt the young ladies needed to be shown at an early age that there is a whole world inclusive of Edgecombe County which they have the right to and the potential to positively impact. Daniels’ vision is to establish and sustain a strong sisterhood which empowers, motivates and uplifts young ladies one community service project, one educational venture and one personal growth moment at a time.

MAGC Prayer of Gratitude
“Dear God, thank you for the blessing of life and breath – For the sky above my head and the earth beneath my feet. Help me remain aware of all You have given me – For my loved ones, friends, Miss Shanell for her insight, and all who care for me. Remind me that each day is a gift for me to use for good. And keep me always attentive to the ever present miracle of this moment in time.” Amen.
“I will do all the good I can,
By all the means I can,
In all the ways I can,
In all the places I can,
At all times – I am a Michael’s Angels Girl!”
